gtk vs wxwindows

Just to make things clear:
Yes, I used the XFree86 library, and various parts based on it. (e.g. Tk)
So strictly speaking, the Mozart port was to Darwin + XFree + a lot of
components that had to be added... (gnu-m4, gmp, a variant of libtool,
gdbm, ...)
Note that the gtk+ has been ported to Darwin + XFree:
http://www.darwinfo.org/ports.shtml#Libraries
Now, more interestingly, there are plans for a Quartz (OSX-native, ie
without XWindows) version of both Tk and gtk.
Tk:

GTK:
There's a rather stale project at
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=9539
and interesting sings of action at
http://www.macgimp.org/article.php?sid=9
So a port of Mozart to a XWindows-less MacOS X seems possible someday,
and GTK is unlikely to be a MacOS X-blocking move in the long run.
Enjoy!
