Dear all,
Over the last few months we have been working on a unicode
implementation for mozart. The unicode implementation is part of an
intelligent rdf based web server we are working on. In the next month we
are hoping to release a web server (with virtual hosts, url rewriting,
etc.). It is the intention to release them to the public domain, or at
least under the mozart license. As far as Unicode support is concerned
it would be best to incorporate this in the Mozart distribution itself
as soon as it is stable.
We feel Unicode is an essential feature if we want Mozart to develop
beyond the scientific community, especially for a web server Unicode
support is of course important. The intelligent web server will be an
open source project. We feel Mozart is an ideal base for an intelligent
soap/rdf based server.
Of course an intelligent rdf based web server is far too much work for
two people and therefor we urge with an interest in this direction to
join the effort. If there are already related initiatives we certainly
like to contact them.
So far we have an alpha/beta version of Unicode support which can be
downloaded at: http://www.snowlion.nl/mozart/
Both source and windows and Linux binaries are available. Any comments,
suggestions, participations welcome.
