So, I understand that svn branches are fine for anyone registered at
gforge. Do you think Mozart users are more likely to send patches in
case they do not need to register?
Nevertheless, I think for this Path patch it is more convenient to
compare the results of the test cases of the original and changed
version than to read through some (unfortunately not existing) edit
history.

I know that you have a busy job, please take you time. There has hardly
been any commit since September, so there is no need to hurry ;-)

The most time consuming job would be of course to write those unit
tests...
