Yes.  For better or worse (IMHO, worse) Darwinports tries to be a world
unto itself, in which external libraries (such as Tcl) are ignored in
favor of the items installed by Darwinports.

It seems like it should be possible to create a variant option that would
allow you to use a different set of Tcl/Tk libraries, but the current
infrastructure does not allow you to specify this anywhere.  We would
have to agree on some common location (possibly /Systems/Library/Frameworks
or somesuch).

Yes, but to reduce the amount of special cases we should probably rely on
some specific versions (e.g., Apple's Tcl/Tk, or the AquaTcl/Tk you mentioned).
