Most of it should already build with cygwin. We ourselves use mingw
though. And we are building under linux and use a mingw cross compiler.

Yes we tried. But we are much more satisfied with mingw (leaner and
faster).
We are kind of reluctant to put a lot of work in making Mozart build
under the many different configurations (Watcom, MSVC, cygwin) on the
many different Windows versions.
The main reason for this is that we are providing Mozart nicely packaged
(Windows 2000 compliant in the next release). Without the packaging,
Mozart is more difficult to install. And the tools for packaging are
quite costly, thus basically very few people will be able to do this
step anyway in the quality we are able to achieve.
If you are unsatisfied with the Mozart build under Windows please let us
know how we can improve it.
