A correction: .NET is intended to be cross-platform; similarly to Java, it
has a Common Language Runtime (CLM), equivalent to the Java Virtual Machine
(JVM) on which runs Intermediate Language (IL), equivalent to Java bytecode.
It is Microsoft's second attempt (after VJ++) to counter Java.

I don't think anyone wants to inprison Mozart on Windows. However, I will
add that making a .NET port of Oz/Mozart would be a purely windows-specific
effort. ;)
