In my own tests it comes through as a bit less than twice as fast. As
I am writing programs for use by the entire Mozart community,
transparent portability is perhaps of more import to me than it is in
your own project. If the ultimate in speed is what you are after, I
am told that RXP is the fastest of them all. If you could contribute
an interface to this speed demon, I am sure many would bless your
name :-)
