Dear friends,
Now that Mozart 1.2.4 has been released, please, help us make it
available to a wide audience. If a binary distro is not yet available
for your platform, there are several options described below.
We urgently need distros at least for SuSE, Mandrake and Solaris.
1. LINUX (or platforms using RPM)
download the source RPM for Mozart 1.2.4 and use it to build the
binary RPMs for your platform as follows:
rpmbuild --rebuild mozart.1.2.4.XXXXX.src.rpm
or rpm --rebuild mozart.1.2.4.XXXXX.src.rpm
rpmbuild should be used if available (XXXXX depends on the last
time I updated the source rpm). Once the 3 binary RPMs have been
built (base, contrib, doc), please send me email (or post on the
hackers or users list) giving a url where I can download them.
2. COMPILE FROM SOURCES
if you are able to compile from sources, please consider
contributing back a binary release. We will help you through the
steps.
3. DONATE A GUEST ACCOUNT
donate a guest account that we can SSH into and we'll give it a
try ourselves as time permits.
4. ASK
ask on the users list. Someone else might be able to help.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Mozart 1.2.4 cannot yet be compiled using the new gcc
3.X and is not yet fully ported to 64 bits architectures. Don't even
try it, it won't work. We're working on it.
Cheers,
