They will probably not work, though they might.  You should
recompile them.

It is most probably the re-engineering, since Mozart 1.2.5 for
Windows is still built with gcc 2.95.3.

Maybe it would, but we do not have to manpower to support
any more branches than we do now.  We have already the fixes
and the development branch; duplicating these for several
compilers is more than we can do.
