I installed the outdate (but still free) daVinci V2.1.

This old software release is a bit hidden on the site, but you can still
download it:

http://www.tzi.de/~davinci/daVinci_get_daVinci.html

The release for RedHat5 still works nicely on my RedHat8 :)
