I already experienced that not too complex constraint problems can
easily eat up all my memory. :-)

However, just for curiosity, is there some rule of thump _how_much_
expensive the creation/copying of a subspace is. Of course this is
dependent to the constraint store + propagators, i.e. the problem at
hand. 

Is there perhaps an article on this issue?
